Synthetic Genes

Synthetic DNA starting with some basepairs up to several thousands of bases is an efficient and rapid method to optimize a DNA sequence. Especially for gene expression and the synthesis of recombinant proteins, this optimization is often the first step to the final success of the project.

If you send us your target DNA sequence in an electronic version, we will synthesize the DNA, clone it into a vector and verify the sequence by DNA sequencing.

If desired, we will clone the synthesized and verified sequence also in your target vector. If you like to adapt the sequence to the codon usage of your expression host, this is also no problem – you will send us the amino acid sequence and we will deduce the individually optimized DNA sequence. Of course we will not only take into account the optimal codon usage but also other parameters like RNA secondary structures.

What do we need to start with a project?

  • Your desired DNA sequence or alternatively the protein sequence 
  • If necessary, information of the target vector (Cloning and RNA structure optimization)
